SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPE IMAGES OF POLLEN AND SEEDS
At the inception of this work I became interested in Pollen and Seeds as an architectural blueprint with their diversity of form and complex articulated structures to provide inspiration for creativity and took time to study them using a scanning electron microscope. Through the continuation of my research I have had recourse to appreciate the powerful symbolism of seeds as a carrier of markers that re-contact us with the natural world. Seeds represent the beginning and end of the life of plants and the rebirth of vegetation after the winter of dormancy. The resurrection for seeds and fruit and the endless and ever repeating cycle provides structure for a ritual that is down to earth and invites participation.
